- 1987-1989: Attended Johnson & Wales University in Providence, RI
- 1989: Graduated Johnson & Wales with a Bachelor of Science in Pastry Arts
- 1989-1996: Apprenticed in several bakeries, studied under a world famous German pastry chef
- 1996: Opened Cakes by Kim in Wilmington, DE
- 2004: Expanded to our current, state-of-the art facility
